Conference: Damanhur and the Temples of Humankind (Spain)

Damanhur is a dream that has reached 40 years of experience. It is a Spiritual Eco-Community in which 600 citizens have built a society open to the world and the different cultures of the peoples; in which their relationships are inspired by solidarity, sharing, creativity and respect for the environment. Damanhur is an experience of searching for deep values ​​and unites aspects such as living together, meditation, play and the alchemy of continuous renewal. It is a reality that welcomes thousands of visitors and is known in the world for the Temples of Humanity: an underground complex excavated by hand in the heart of the mountain, decorated with mosaics, sculptures, paintings, artistic stained glass and dedicated works of art to the awakening of the divine Essence, present in every human being.

The annual Green Phoenix Conference

The participants were Community representatives, active people in the field of intentional communities and ecovillages and representatives of Gen (the Global Ecovillage Network). That’s an important time of the year for maintaining and cultivating relations between Damanhur and other communites in a dedicated context. This session of the Green Phoenix was attended by 35 people, with representatives from 13 communities, in particular the major German and Swiss ones, as well as Tamera, Damanhur, several European networks of Gen (Switzerland, Baltic countries, Spain, Netherlands), and of the international networks of Gen: Africa, with our friend Ousman, South America and Asia.

During the conference there were both stages of exchange, and of meditation and elaboration.
